It’s because the chicken is reading a comment from someone else - it’s called indirect speech - if the chicken was asking the question for himself, there would be no quotes - do they not teach this anymore?

It’s because the chicken is reading a comment from someone else - it’s called indirect speech - if the chicken was asking the question for himself, there would be no quotes - do they not teach this anymore?
