I’ve been there. All three!
I loved this cartoon - and was going to share it with my students (I teach English)…except, those are not metaphors - they’re similes!
I love that rabid squirrelfeeling. I mean, it’s betterto give than to receive.(but selfish love is better than no love at all).
Genius… reminds me a bit of the Fast Show spin-off… Swiss Tony, ’selling a car is a bit like making love to a beautiful woman’.
bekgill, heheh I wondered if someone would catch me on the ’simile’ thing! Call it poetic licence
Seraphine, add a funky groove to that comment and you’ve got yourself a Barry White monologue! Oh yeah….
Love is like a frying pan. Hot & greasy.
Love is like … a block of tofu?!
Love can be like tofu: tasteless and unsatisfying.
Love can be like George W: Mindless
Love can be like a Vacuum cleaner.
On the other hand:Love can be like a disney starlet: sweet, wholesome, and saccharine - until you find the naughty pictures.
*sigh* the last one is soooo true! I love it when love is drooling and unpredictable.

In the name of art - I will accept poetic license as an excuse, ahem, I mean reason! lol

I loooove tofu. Dessert tofu is love. Now thats a metaphor!
