   This sounds exactly like something some foul drunken “Irish - for today” (motherless bag o’ feathers!) would say to a twee, helpful, breakfast-cereal-offerin’ leprechaun. He’d probably spit all over one’s frilly little shirt while he was at it, the unappreciative bastard.

   You know, due to the early Easter this year St. Patrick’s day actually fell during Holy Week - which trumps all Saint’s days.

   Thereforr technically it wasn’t St. Patrick’s day.

   This of course didn’t stop the English festival of St Guinness’ day which has nothing to do with religion whatsoever!
