This is very remiscent of several Far Side cartoons, Doug…anyway, REAL parents follow through–not only do you tell the kids monsters are real, you tell them monsters consume (as light snacks) children who a) don’t eat their dinner b) children who wet the bed–this one actually attracts monsters, and c)children who wake crying in the night over something ridiculous and trivial (like monsters!).

“Yup. The alarm goes of and stimulates the appetite center of the monster’s brain. Sure, you’ll be eaten, but the monster’s ravenous hunger ensures it’ll be a swift end.”

    Yes, monsters are real.
    The sooner children learn
    that, the better.

Do you think that little chicken is afraid of the fact that monsters are real, or is he really afraid that dad had installed a laser activated monster detector because little chicken knows that one of these days the machines are going to rise up and revolt!

Then wouldn’t the monsters have a laser activated Chuck Norris detector? Just in case?
