Okay, I have to say something for the sake of my archaeologist friends: ARCHAEOLOGISTS DO NOT STUDY DINOSAURS! Archaeologists study HUMANS and their artifacts. PALEONTOLOGISTS study dinosaurs!

Hahaha! I love it! This one made me laugh out loud. Keep up the great work, Doug!
@zeptimius @Sven @cholling - Heheh sorry about that, paleontology fans! Let’s say this cartoon takes place in the 1700s, before the development of paleontology!

I should have learned by now, not to take a sip of coffee right before I read your comics. The I.T. people are not happy with what I’ve done to my keyboard. =-D
um. either somebody assembled the specimen incorrectly, or the tyrannosaurus has a twin brother growing out of his kneecap.
or perhaps it was a severe case of kneezles.

So… are you trying to say that T-Rexes were boneheads?
To be more precise, this cartoon should have taken place when the iguanodon was first discovered in the 19th century, so paleontology didn’t exist yet but dinosaurs did. In the 1700’s, dinosaurs had not yet been discovered so this cartoon couldn’t have existed.
Don’t worry Doug, we may be persnickety but we still love your cartoons!

Um. Shouldn’t that be ‘paleontologists’?
