It’s funny cuz it’s true. Seriously, this just happened to me last week.
I was once told at a job that I needed to smile less while doing my menial tasks, because my boss assumed that if I was smiling, I couldn’t possibly be working.

I don’t understand why a boss wouldn’t want you to be productive lol the illusion of progress is nice though

Oh gosh. Long ago, a coworker was put on a performance improvement plan because he didn’t look stressed/concerned enough.
This is just like Steve Carell from The Office-he’s the only one not doing anything, and yet…
