    Brilliant!!

  30. Krissy says:

Oh I get it….only took me like 20 secs to though. Used to love these things as a kid.

  31. greg says:

    i spotted 9 differences

  32. Hugo says:

How was this done though? My guess: draw the cartoon on one piece, then trace it twice onto another post-it note (leaving out the spider legs)?

(Because copy-pasting digitally would be cheating! Right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

    • Doug says:

Yes it’s true – I rarely manipulate the cartoons digitally – but this time I did, because I wanted the images to be (almost) exactly the same. I didn’t want anybody seeing any differences that weren’t meant to be there! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Hugo says:

Makes sense. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I did also visually track out the variation in the lines framing the pictures, and thought “no that’s just *too* perfect!” ๐Ÿ˜‰

  49. Tony McGurk says:

Why do you have to make it so hard???

  50. Allen says:

I saw it immediately — but I’m not hatin’ on anyone who didn’t, ’cause everybody’s brain works a little differently, and that’s good for humanity as a whole.

I choose to believe that the spider’s legs were not “pulled out” — some spiders are capable of rolling themselves up in a little ball, and I choose to believe that this spider is still just fine …

… if the chicken doesn’t eat it.

  51. Allen says:

P.S. By the way, Doug Savage … you make a living doing this?

  52. Chey says:

  64. Wildbird says:

Spider Transformer, transform himself to a little ROCK ๐Ÿ™‚

  66. country hick says:

You know, I once saw a 12 year old girl in a game show answerin’ spiders have 6 legs. I was sooo jealous, in that “I wanna live where she lives if she’s seen that few spiders in a dozen years” -way.

  74. Alexis says:

it IS pretty obvious, isn’t it?

  75. Lawry says:

You all have it wrong. The spider is actually not part of the upper picture, he is a real spider. He just happens to have a black body the same size as the black spot he is sitting on.
The real 8 differences are that every eigth portion of the lower picture is further away from the top of the page than the upper picture.

  76. shania says:

I think it’s the spider and the chicken is more shocked in the second picture
