On Vacation
After speaking at the Gibsons public library this weekend, I stayed around to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Sunshine Coast. I stuck today’s cartoon to a big old tree stump behind the cottage and took this photo.
Update: Here’s a larger view! Also, thanks to everybody who wished me a relaxing vacation!

it’s good to note that you don’t ever take a vacation from creating cartoons. Relax my friend, have a good break.
Thanks Steve! Yes, the show must go on!
I love this more than you can ever know….
Aawww, what a nice idea! Hope you are having a wonderful relaxed day, Doug!
I love how us Canadian’s call it “the cottage”…people often ask me where the famous Cottage is! This one is great, I hope you enjoyed the R&R:-)
Oh.. I can relate to these chickens… lol
Nice picture, very creative.
Doris
Thanks Doris! This was fun so I might do more chickens “on location” in the future
Physicist and Philosopher on vacation together?
This one just cries out to be T-shirt…
I tried to think of a witty comment, but I was stumped, just like the cartoon.
Maybe by leaving the cartoons in places to be “discovered”, you are becoming the Chicken version of Banksy?
Oh I thought it was just me that did that.
You never get too tired of that. I wish I could have my vacations soon!
By the way, do chickens drink wine? How are the eggs after that?
yeah like a stress fracture only happens when?
A true workaholic stuck in the cubical
Win.
I wish I had a replica stickynote of this! Imagine that… A Savage Chicken book in a pre-printed stickynotepad format!
Anyway, nice one Doug. Have a good rest.
Fantastic! Great way to frame it. Doug, I challenge you to post the rest of the week’s cartoons with different natural backgrounds.
Glad you’re getting a vacation! Hope you do something to commemorate Leap Day next month?
hahaha…nice one…love it.
