Seventh Anniversary!

Today I’m celebrating seven years of Savage Chickens! Here are all of the characters who appeared in more than one cartoon in year #7. See how many you can identify!

It has been a busy year! The book came out, I had my first signing, I was on radio and other blogs, and I even did some publicspeaking gigs. Plus a whole bunch of interviews. Next year is looking like even more fun: I’ve got a few new book ideas, the German edition of my book comes out in March, and I’m going to be a special guest at San Diego Comic-Con 2012. Crazy times!

Anyway I want to thank you all for making this year so amazing. I really could not do this without you, and I hope that you enjoy all the stuff I have planned for Year #8!

I always look with a certain envy at your chickens. I wish I could make people laugh with so simple means (I am too baroque, sigh).
Favourites are almost all the strips, but cat adventures and the takes to Star Wars and Terminator are what get me most.
    Keep clucking!

  25. Congratulations, Doug. Your work is awesome, and very influential. Most of all—the most important thing—is that Savage Chickens is FUNNY! If I want an instant laugh, all I have to do is think about The Abdominal Snowman. I admire your endurance. To keep coming up with ideas day after day is sometimes easy, sometimes hard. But your example tells us to keep going anyway. Happy 7, and I wish you great creativity, great health, and great success in the next seven years and beyond. Thank you for bringing such a wonderfully, unique creation into the universe.
