I have no idea what this is about. Is this some inside joke that relies on North American pop culture? (I’m Dutch…)

  3. Wildbird says:

TWO TURBO DOVES,AND A PATRIIGE IN A PAIR OF TREES

  4. willwot says:

oui! said the little french mouse in my pocket. and then the little piggy went oui oui all the way home.

    CHALLENGE:

Your mission, should you decide to take it, is to compose more cartoons to cover the remaining Days of Christmas.

    Puns and Spoonerisms are allowed.

This message will not self destruct.

BTW, at least one chicken must appear in each cartoon. One long format cartoon for all days (including “4 calling birds”) is acceptable, but one a day at a time is preferred.

And now, a free idea for the first day:

A gun barrel sticking out of a fruit tree, pointing at a very startled chicken: “A cartridge in a pear tree.” Good Luck …

      😉

        Here’s another suggestion:

A wood floor composed of 11 boards; the word “creak” is drawn coming from each board. A surprised chicken walking across the floor (at board eleven) is looking behind himself at the floor he has just walked across:

        “Eleven boards a creakin’

        (I’m moderately good at puns).

If you like, don’t approve these two replies. I won’t tell anyone … 😉

  7. Tom says:

You hit this one out of the park, Doug!

  8. Jackson says:

Two chickens; the first has a word bubble:
    “Hi, Mabel!”

The second is holding up both arms, wearing gloves.

    “Two Mabel gloves …”

    Too corny?

Maybe Wildbird is right; “two turbo doves” is better.

  9. Jackson says:

A chicken opens his refrigerator, with a frown: there are five items visible which are obviously spoiled:

    Fi-i-ive moldy thi-i-ings …

  10. Feliz Navidad Doug! 🙂

  11. max D says:

    ..and a partridge, on a Par 3.

I’m imagining chickens caddying at a windmill..maybe while being buzzed by the Turbodoves?

  12. Morgana says:

Hahahaha! How have I missed this one?! XD Thank you ‘random’ button.

  13. Danielson says:

And then there’s that awkward Canadian chicken (Doug, I assume) that puts “eh” at the end of every phrase…
