Meanwhile the carbon footprint of Santa’s toy factory is killing us all.
all so quiet 🙂
Christmas Eve, 1968, near the moon: “We are now approaching lunar sunrise, and for all the people back on Earth, the crew of Apollo 8 has a message that we would like to send to you.
‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
‘And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
‘And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
‘And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.’
… And from the crew of Apollo 8, we close with good night, good luck, a Merry Christmas – and God bless all of you, all of you on the good Earth.”
Peace on moon
exactly what Apollo 8 Astronauts saw in 1968, good times
No Doctor Who?
ON THE MOON THERE LIVES A LOON,AND SOON A LOON ON THE MOON TO SWOON
I assume the frames are supposed to be time lapse over the 24 hours before Xmas. If that is the case, why do we only see the Americas? We should be seeing Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa too. If that is not the case why show 4 frames at all. I am just a little confused like normal.
I’m thinking 5 minutes of Christmas
Must be in some distant future, when the Earth will be gravitationally locked to the Moon. You can see the continents librating to and fro a bit, just as the Moon does today.
