(sigh) If only the world worked that way.
Should this be “If you only exhale?”
because “Only if you exhale” doesn’t exclude inhaling. You can inhale and exhale.
I guess I don’t get the “joke/point” here, because I’m under the assumption that inhaling the smoke is what’s bad for you so “if you only exhale” would seem to be the healthiest option.
but then “If you only inhale” would probably be the worse option, so if that’s what is commonly done than yes, “allowing” exhaling of the smoke would improve your health… I’m probably overthinking this, aren’t I?
Inhaling smoke is bad for the box, but exhaled smoke is bad for the chicken?
I think the smoke that comes from the tip is more harmful, though – but it doesn’t get blown in your face!
or maybe “only if you only exhale”
haha nothing like a good grammar analysis! To be clearer, the chicken could be saying “I mind only if you exhale” 🙂
Oh, haha! That had not occurred to me in my overthinking…
How about “I wouldn’t even mind if you burned”?
