Wilde Hühner

Today’s comic looks a little different, because I really am in Germany this week. Without my usual comics-making gear, I’ll have to improvise a little!

Don’t worry. A lot of Germans speak (a little bit of) English. Not particularly well, mind you—but we love to practice anyway … ^^

great one!!! i tried to say “ich verstehe nicht” to a German last week and i pronounced so badly they did not understand it!!! 😀

    • Nicht die Lorelei, war aber schon mal da says:

      Keep it simple!

If you don’t understand simply reply with a “was?” or “wie bitte?”. If you still don’t understand after that you may reply with “das kapier ich nicht”. 😀

Where in Germany are you? And take your time to see something of the city, wherever you are. Nearly all cities are some kind of great!

I love this! When I first moved to Germany that was actually was the only German word I knew. 2.5 years later I’m slowly approaching fluency.
