I actually lived in that same apartment building for about a year, I think. I was on the verge of homicidal rage some nights.
Maybe I'm weird, but I just can't figure out how a mouse could afford a boombox. Besides, everyone knows that rich mice prefer TV.
Hmmm...I wonder if that's the same mouse that ran the vacuum this morning at 4am.
One day a virus will rid the world of all asshole neighbours. That should leave about 12 of us on the face of the earth.

I am having this exact problem. Unfortunately, the rats next door are exceedingly large and muscular and favor a lot of bass.
I had to laugh when I saw this because years ago, when I lived in NYC, I had a bunch of noisy frat-boy party animals downstairs, and, finally, in desperation, I ripped up a few floorboards and installed a big-ass speaker pointing down at their sheet-rock ceiling and hooked it up to the B-channel on my stereo. Then, any time they got loud at, like, 2am, I would just put on, like, a Polish radio station full blast for about 15 minutes and they'd settle down in a hurry!
Thanks for the idea, Hippie Zingo - I am definitely going to try that. Just have to find a nearby Polish radio station...
