    Lionel Richie stole the bit from Fred Astaire, who did a much classier version in the film “Royal Wedding.” TCM runs their colorized version of the film now and again. It’s one of the few “dancing” films Astaire made without Ginger Rogers. Men sure wore some funky, high waist trousers in those days and some wicked wingtips.
