Can’t help but wonder if there’s some bleak existential commentary here, since even the glass of wine/bile/asphalt is still within the “frame.” There’s no real escape. You get the chicken through the day, but can he ever truly leave, or is he stuck in a “Groundhog Day”-esque loop? Perhaps a narrow lane leading from the wine back up the chicken might express the drudge even better. Or maybe I’m overanalyzing this, since I couldn’t find my own way through the day-maze to the coffee.
