We’re moving today, too!! And, yeah, we learned that book thing a couple of moves backs. Never stops us from doing it again, we just have a massive bin now, with heavy duty handles… takes 3 people to move it, but our orderly ‘keep like things together’ sensibilities remain intact!

Oh, man…. At the end of my sophomore year of college, I found this great big box behind a furniture store, and I was so happy to have packed up my WHOLE dorm room into it! Yay! Everything in one box!
Then I tried to move it.

Definitely a comment on my brother’s book-collecting habits (when he moved out to go out of town to do his Master’s, he took 8 boxes of books and left… 8 boxes of books).

Ah yes. We all learn that one the hard way!
I think my box of books was almost as big as that one the first time I moved!

which is what you need if you have a box like that…
Doug if you were syndicated, I don’t think this one would run, as many people don’t own enough books to understand the dilemma. Can’t risk alienating the lowest common denominator types.
putting all the books in one box
is a stupid “rookie” mistake.

I really like “Chicken”. I look at it twice a day. First thing in the morning for the artwork, then in the aft for literary commentaries.
Last big move I made I put everyting in buckets with lids. Lots of trips, but easy to handle. That was 9 years ago;still haven’t opened some of the buckets.

Last time we packed up, we had 200 boxes of books. I really need Godzilla next time.
Hope all the moving gets done soon. I do like these moving themed SCs though.
