Actual experience from high school:
Me: “I got 94% on the trig final!” Mom: “What happened to the other 6?”
*sigh*
Perfect! My high schooler has her first day of finals today! This is for you, Aubrey!
At our house we like to think of ourselves as Negative Reinforcement Achievement Motivators.
it could be worse. she could be the offspring of whiners.
Good heckling requires a degree of intelligence, IMO… Better to hang out with the children of hecklers than warhawks or (ugh) cheerleaders!

history teacher: why don’t you EVER study? Don’t you know what could happen if you applied yourself?
