this is exactly how my family reacted when my uncle gave us his latest published poem book.
mmn. My mom used to do that with my stuff. It reminds me of American Idol. Who really needs looks to be talented? Are you more of an Idol to people if you look good and sing okay, or if you are butt ugly and have incredible talent? Should we be telling our children that if you’re not pretty, you won’t make anything of your life, or should we be telling them that with hard work, perseverance, and talent, anyone can be a star?
