When you take a book from the shelf, you're not supposed to put them back. I'd be the Librarian from Hell, following that goofy-*ss chicken and telling him to put them in the book cart instead.
And if he made a cluckle louder than a whisper, I'd go shhhh!

My mom is a librarian at an elementary school.... that might be a tad more evil than hell? just imagine all those 4th graders in there?!?
oh...and my last name is Dewey, we think it's the only reason my mom married my dad.

P.S.S, is there any possible way to put a search engine on the web site cause I've been trying to find a cartoon for like three days now and i cant.

Okay, I've been getting these forwarded to me sometimes by sarah louise (loved the pirate theme), but now I may just have to read EVERY DAY. You've done library savage chickens! That's just awesome. Can they be repeat characters? I'm sure the devil chicken has chicks that run around, making noise and grabbing random books off one shelf and sticking them on another.

oh manzer, there are worse things than being an elementary school librarian
i'm a librarian in a high school
now which circle of Hell would that be?

OK, so I printed this out to leave it on the librarian's desk, but the library aid had already done it. Since I showed him Savage Chickens one day in class, he reads it every day. So do many of my other students. The other teachers expect a chicken joke each evening. The Chickens are taking over my college.

Hey thanks for all the great comments! Librarians rock! And ya I'll definitely be bringing back Devil Chicken.

Lemon, there's a search box over on the top right of the page that searches all of the cartoons on the site. And if that doesn't work, you can always check the site map or email me!

"i'm a librarian in a high school.
now which circle of Hell would that be?" i think dante's works might need some updating if only to accommodate a new, more despair-inducing circle, bookchick.
