of mice and men was the first steinbeck book i read. i loved it, and read everything else of his i could find.
so sorry, but I don’t get it…was the “Cheetah” bit the original title, and Steinbeck changed it “Mice” to buck the establishment, or you’re saying that’s what the result would’ve been if he’d had to deal with Hollyweird/marketing types? Maybe I’m just tired. maybe it works both ways.
