   But isn’t vitamin D from the sun, and therefore bad for vampires? Or maybe it’s just the UV light they can’t take.

   @CMunk: I think that’s part of the joke. Since vampires can’t be exposed to sunlight, they can’t create vitamin D naturally, so they have to get it through a vitamin supplement.

   Also, vampires don’t drink milk so that takes out the added vitamin D there.
