Haven’t seen the movie, but as I’ve said many times before, us cartoonist/comedian/humour types are often drawn to similar goofy ideas. Especially when poop jokes are involved!
It was an excellent movie, in fact — and not really a children’s movie at all, despite coming out only weeks before the kids’ animation A Bug’s Life. ANTz was wery sophisticated, with humor ranging from the scatological to the political–and all while poking fun at communist/totalitarian societies.
Not the sort of thing children would pick up on. Woody Allen once called it his best role, and I’d tend to agree.
I enjoy your own quirky humor here; many of the bits are snapshots of genius.
