I can’t help but stand up for the incorrect use of “introvert.” Introverts get their energy from being alone, whereas others get their energy from being with others. So, if the chickens looked tired, then that would be a little more accurate. I am DEFINITELY an introvert, and I rarely socialize with others. BUT, when I do? I’m the life of the party. No wonder being with others exhausts me! In any case, I love Savage Chickens, but boy, it’d be cool for people to know the difference between being introverted and shy and/or socially inept. Or at least not have the incorrect definition repeatedly in the media. Yes, I’m counting Savage Chickens as the media. I hope this note does not hide the fact that I actually have a sense of humor, and am not really up in arms about this, but when will the madness stop, Doug? When?

Heheh don’t worry, Tara – I’m an introvert too and I know what it means. I definitely wouldn’t call myself a shy person, but – like these chickens – I’m often quiet in social situations until I get comfortable. And then you can’t get me to shut up!

But who said these chickens were shy? Maybe they’re just enjoying the silence? Or maybe they’re lost in their own thoughts? 🙂

:)) 😀 Thanks for another great one, Doug.

If it were really IA there would be vigorous bitching about extroverts going on in one of those panels. That’s what happens when my introvert friends and I hang out. Introvert Pride!

Would introvert chickens have chosen to join a group and sit next to other chickens in the first place? Perhaps the cartoon should have shown the 3 chickens locked in individual rooms in front of a computer terminal! Oh, stereotypes, sterotypes… 🙂

PS I’ve never known an introverted chicken.

They’re all thinking the same thing: “I’m not talking until someone else does.”

I know this is about introverts (and I am one) but all I can think of is “And Ann b. Davis as Alice” lol… Anyone else get what I’m seeing?

Being an extreme extrovert and living with quite introvert gf, I find these Chickens as the most hilarious yet. Now I’m struggling to find some marking system to make sure these will make it into this year’s most popular… 😀

I’ve always heard that introverts think to talk, while extroverts talk to think. These chickens are definitely thinking. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Guess which one I am? HA!
