    i am going to have to think about this

    🙂

  2. Martin says:

    Nope, “horse” I think is from Richard the Third.

  3. Timmy says:

    Should I be embarassed or proud that I knew all the Star Wars last words and none of the Shakespeare ones?

  4. Slugsie says:

    I think I can hazard a reasonable guess at maybe 3 of them.

    However I’m surprised that more of them didn’t end with ‘Aaaaaaaaargh!’

  5. Micah says:

    We all know Hamlet didn’t die. The Danish government faked his death and he’s been hiding out in an underground bunker faking moon landings.

  6. Denisse says:

    Great challenge…I didn’t know some of them, but I Think Othello’s Last Word is not correct…but i’m not quite sure…

  7. Doug says:

    ‘C’ must be Richard III, from the famous line “My kingdom for a horse!” I have no idea about any of the others.

  8. Stephanie says:

    I think…

    Palpatine is (A)
    Obi Wan is (D)
    Tarkin is probably (E)
    and…
    Oh! Oh! I think Vader was (F)

    Ashamedly, I can’t remember any Shakespeare ones. This is difficult. And completely brilliant.

  9. Liss says:

    Ack! So stumped.

    I think…

    Darth Vader – F
    Obi Wan Kenobi – G
    Hamlet – I
    Macbeth – B
    Othello – H
    Richard III – C
    Romeo – A

    … and … that’s all I got. I don’t even know who Greedo is.

  10. Tom McMahon says:

    I thought Darth Vader’s last word was “have.”

    Luke – I’ve got to save you.

    DV – You already have.

  11. Franklin says:

    Grand Moff Tarkin’s isn’t on the list. His last word is “chances” from the line: “Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.”

  12. Brian says:

    Nice job, Savage. You’ve made me ashamed that I know all the Star Wars references, but not a one from Shakespeare.

  13. Don says:

    This is a trick. I was thinking for Darth it’d be “silence”, but obviously not his absolute last word.

  14. beez says:

    Let’s see…

    Darth Vader: “You were RIGHT.”
    Emperor Palpatine: “then, DIE.”
    Tarkin:
    Greedo: “this TIME.”
    Obi Wan: “more powerful than you can IMAGINE”
    Hamlet:
    Macbeth:
    Othello:
    Richard III: “kingdom for a HORSE!”
    Romeo: “with a KISS”
    Juliet:

  15. Chaitanya says:

    Right – Darth Vader
    Die – Palpatine
    Enough – Tarkin
    Ready – Greedo
    Imagine – Kenobi

  16. Wildbird says:

    He,s dead Jim

  17. Jackson says:

    “How many can you figure out (without help from the internet)???”

    Um, that would be zero (enjoyed reading the answers in the other responses).

  18. Wildbird says:

    ALLAS POOR YORRIK I KNEW HIM WELL and YORIK was a jester i belive

  19. Gareth Evans says:

    I’m OK on Shakespeare and rubbish on Star Wars:

    Hamlet:The rest is SILENCE.
    Macbeth: And damn’d be him that first cries, ‘Hold, ENOUGH!’
    Othello: Killing myself, to die upon a KISS.
    Richard III: A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a HORSE!
    Romeo: Thy drugs are quick. Thus, with a kiss, I DIE.
    Juliet: This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me DIE.

  20. James M. says:

    Vader F – ‘Tell your sister you were right.’
    Palpatine A – ‘and watch you die (I think)’
    Tarkin – E. ‘You may fire when ready.’ I thought it was chances, but remembered this at the last second.
    Greedo
    Obi Wan Kenobi D ‘If you strike me down I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.’

    Hamlet G ‘The rest is silence.’
    MacBeth B ‘Lay on, MacDuff. And damned be he that first cries, “Hold, enough!” ‘
    Othello
    Richard III
    Romeo A ‘Thus, with a kiss, I die.
    Juliet

  21. etan says:

    actually none of these belong to romeo his last line is “with a kiss i depart” so his last word is depart

  22. Enrico says:

    Vader: “Tell your sister you were right”;
    Palpatine: “now, young Skywalker, you will die”;
    Tarkin: “You may fire when ready”;
    Greedo: “I’ve been looking forward to killing you for a long time”;
    Kenobi: “I will become more powerful that you could possibly imagine”;
    Hamlet: “The rest is silence”;
    Macbeth: “Hold, enough”;
    Othello: “Killing myself, to die upon a kiss”;
    Richard III: “A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse”;
    Romeo and Juliet: “Thus with a kiss I die” and “there rust, and let me die”.
    A lot of people die saying “die”!
    I admit I had to google Greedo, at last… that was a tough test, really!
