I think a simpler name could be “Surströmming”.
Me and my father-in-law have had these sort of discussions over many years.
“marmite” … (or “bovril” at a pinch) 🙂
“sardine”, “cheese”, “ham”, “coleslaw”
“radish”, “salt and vinegar” …
conversely we have conversations about bad crisp flavours too 🙂

Ive seen one called DEATH BY CHOCCOLATE
About fifteen years back, there was a strange comic strip in the San Francisco Chronicle. It featured a normal-looking boy, and a somewhat alien-looking man. The strip ran for only a short while, as I recall.
One strip featured the boy unhappy with his ice cream, and the man saying, When they say spamoni, they mean spamoni!. I have forgotten all the other strips, but this one has stood the memory-test of time!
I would agree with the boy, I expect, regarding the desirability of the spamoni flavor.
“Spumoni” is a real variety of ice cream, so why is it on the list? That seems out of place.
Looking for the strip, I see some people have already made spamoni ice cream. To each his own, I guess!
Spamoni would be pretty awful! But spumoni is here on the list because lots of people think it’s pretty awful already, without the spam!
Nooo…. Spumoni is delicious! Some people have no taste. 😉
