Hot Time Summer in the City
It seems that Google, despite claims to make things in life easier to find, has in effect done quite the opposite; by continuing to look at the screen we forget to look around us and see what is really there.

Google seems to like to always give the shortest route rather than the best. Get off the bus at this stop and walk 800m to the destination, instead of getting off at the next stop and walking 100m back (because that would technically be a longer trip). Same thing when getting on the bus. Or it’ll have you wait 20 minutes in the cold at the stop just *before* the station, instead of going there and waiting in the nice warm bus for that time before it leaves.
Some are taking the approach of trying to map the ‘happiest’ route, instead of the quickest one:
