That seems … believable. I have a similar fear, though only about old buildings. It hit me hard when I went on a tour of the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Normally it’s not much of a problem, but when combined there with my fear of heights, it almost made me throw up. Knowing it was irrational did not make it go away.
Dr. Sig seems a bit astounded by this revelation. Spelunkaphobia??
