Rather for trolls. Vampire are intelligent enough to know the time of day and knowledgeable enough to know about eclipses.
A propos eclipses – I remember a comic where a werewolf could only half (lateral) transform during a partial lunar eclipse.
But still not much consensus on whether lunar eclipses beat werewolves.
