And that’s the end of my week of on-the-road comics featuring my family. Tomorrow, I fly back to Vancouver! I had a great visit here and it was especially nice to spend so much time visiting with my mom. Love you, Mom! xox
(Today’s comic is photographed inside Mom’s fridge. Her new one, not the old dangerous one!)

I had a similar conversation with my mum last year:
Me: Did I ever tell you about the time I almost broke my neck falling off the swing when I was 10?
Oh how we laughed!
Parents can tell that kind of story, but kids probably should not. Someone was shot and killed in my apartment while I was in graduate school. That was a story I never told my mom.
To clarify, I meant my apartment complex, not my unit.
Are you going to tell US about the time you got electrocuted by your Mom’s refrigerator???
Heheh it’s not as exciting as it sounds! I noticed the light wasn’t turning on in the fridge, so I went to tighten the bulb, but the bulb was actually broken and I ended up touching the socket. Next thing I knew I was across the room!
Once I fractured my toe kicking my brother accidentally
“accidentally”? Did he get in the way while you were practicing karate?
no, we were on the trampoline and he was lying down in front of me
