I like fruitcake. I like licorice. I have always liked Brussels sprouts.
But rest easy. I still can’t stand liver.

My Grandmother used to make fruitcake every year. She had zero sense of humor when it came to the at-large criticism.

I also am a fan of fruitcake, though this captures its reputation quite well.
I’ve long said that, if someone receives fruitcake but really doesn’t want it, they should pass it on to someone else who will happily eat it, like me. Ta-da! Problem solved!
Oh! And sometimes, somebody makes fruitcake that can no longer feel its frustration and pain at having become fruitcake by soaking it in brandy.
