The only movies worth seeing in theatres are Grand Openings of films with a serious fan base. The place might be packed full, but these folks WANT to be there. They laugh, cheer, and remain dead silent at all the right parts.
I’d also recommend film festivals, where attendees are usually quite serious about having an opportunity to see independent and foreign films.
