A friend once made a remark along these lines many years ago. Since that time, I never “oochie-coochie” any baby. I fancy the little eyes are more intrigued by my normal voice than the squeaky sugary baby talk.
Whoa, this might explain why I’m not fond of children! Along with the “where do children come from” answer, it does seem their presence torments our souls and brain cells! Or at least speech centers.
