Just popping in on behalf of all of your American readers to re-assert our collective claim of you, Doug, as our official emotional support Canadian 😀
You do manage (somehow) to shy away from politics. I guess it’s mostly because politics just isn’t fun or funny anymore.
As an American, I accept this gift from our Canadian friends. (Well truly I don’t know if you moved there, are just visiting, it doesn’t matter, we deserve all the laughter directed at us.)
I do tend to avoid politics, because politicians usually just make me sad. And jokes about politics often go stale pretty quickly! This joke can be handily applied to any present or future dumpster fire 🙂
