This comic has taught me that “steak frites” is not as universally known as I thought it was! Maybe we’ve got more French-influenced menu options here in Canada?
When the chef of a German ice cream shop will see (or already has seen) this, it’s quite possible that they’ll offer a composition of ice creams, whipped cream, and maybe other stuff like coconut flakes, to resemble exactly this.
Actually, in many German ice cream shops, you can get ice cream compositions that resemble savory food – the most common being “spaghetti ice cream” (vanilla ice cream pressed through a sieve to look like spaghetti, strawberry sauce to resemble tomato sauce, and pieces of whipped cream, coconut flakes, sliced almonds, or similar, to resemble grated Parmesan cheese, sometimes balls of cherry or other red stuff ice cream to resemble meatballs).
