I’m appearing in this year’s Carded! art show at the Hot Art Wet City gallery in Vancouver. It’s a special one-night show – Saturday, April 26, 7 PM – 11PM – featuring art on trading cards.
When you arrive, you can buy a set of random cards for $5, and then you get to haggle with strangers to trade for the cards you really want. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and you’ll get a handful of collectible limited-edition trading cards. Hope to see you there! Here are the details, and here’s the event on Facebook.
And here’s a sneak peek at the trading cards. See if you can spot mine…
Update: Here’s my card from the show!
I’m happy to announce that I’m going to be a guest at Hal-Con 2014! I had a blast at Hal-Con 2013 – amazing people, and Halifax is a great city, so I’m pretty excited about going to Hal-Con 2014! And I’m an official guest this year, so that means I’ll be doing a bunch of panel discussions and signings and stuff – I’ll provide more details as soon as the schedule is available. The convention is from Nov 7 – 9, 2014 – that may seem like a long way off, but tickets will sell fast, so keep an eye out for ticket info. I hope to see you there!
I’m coming to Halifax, Nova Scotia in November! I’m attending Hal-Con 2013, where I’ll be participating in a panel discussion about webcomics with fellow artists Joel Duggan, Gisèle Lagacé, Lar DeSouza, and Christopher Torres (hosted by Mike and Remy from Where Monsters Dwell). The panel discussion is on November 9 at 12:00 PM – you can add it to your Hal-Con schedule. And after the panel discussion, I’ll be hanging out with Joel at his table for a while so stop by and say Hi!
On Saturday, September 28, I’ll be appearing at this year’s Emily Con, a day of comics fun at Emily Carr University of Art + Design here in Vancouver, BC.
Stop by my table to say Hi and I’ll draw you a sticky note – and I’ll be selling lots of chicken stuff, and my cat-related books, T-shirts, and buttons (which are still not available on the website!). And from 1 PM – 2 PM, I’ll be participating in a panel discussion called Make Your Own Damn Comic, with fellow artists Colin Upton and Jeff Ellis. Everybody should be making their own comics. We’ll tell you why!
Admission is FREE! More details on Facebook…
