Popeye philosophy aside, I LOVE Savage Chickens for the humor and the educational value. Yesterday’s Poet-bot made me look up “jocund” and William Wordsmith on wikipedia. So, aside from a laugh, I learned a new word and read a lovely poem. Oops-now I ruined it! Savage Chickens is good for you!
This one was worth the price of admission alone, which, if you consider it, may not be saying much because it doesn’t cost me a thing to come to this site… so what am I really saying? That this cartoon is no good? I’m pretty sure I’m not, because it’s really funny and now I’m just blithering on like a fool who thinks he’s funny but he’s not. Oh well…
Lol! (It took m a few click to understand!)
Mmmm… Yammy!
“I yam what I yam and that’s all that I yam!”
That was really corny.
What the self-aware, unrequited melons had to say on the subject of their persistent sadness:
“We can’t elope.”
i think thy tubers name is popeye.
I would have paid more attention to what the self-aware root vegetable was saying, but I thought it was merely a
common tater.
Even a bird can parrot Descartes. I expected something a little more earthy from a yam…
@dinana & tish - exactly what I was thinking!
cogito, ergo ipso dioscorea?
Sweet potato!

Oh man…I can almost hear the drum rim shot on this cartoon.
This is pretty much what you get at any self-awareness seminar!
What a bunch of psychobabble yammering.
yammering (da-da-boom! crash)
I hate being the nitpicker but a yam actually is not a sweet potato, even though it’s commonly called yam in Northern America.
But besides that, yammy yammy yammy I got a laugh in my tummy!
&=^
*facepalm*
Not sure WHAT the heck happened to my comment on Friday/Saturday, but it’s gone….

Every time I look at this I like it more (but I am French, so I suppose I would).
