The cigarette in the last panel is nice touch and certainly proves that you’ve been to Quebec!

  3. Gretchen on November 17th, 2009 5:18 am

Seems I missed out on these tourist attractions when I was up there… :)

Montreal sounds like where I live, except there aren’t very many highly skilled drivers. But here, if you get run over on the sidewalk, the police will declare it to be your own fault, your insurance company will raise your rates, and you may even wind up in jail if you actually recover.

Yes!! So true… Driving in Quebec is taking your life into your own hands.

Please draw more Montreal chickens smoking and driving!! I’m sure I’ve seen that one gunning for me downtown!!

  6. Christopher on November 17th, 2009 7:39 am

Been there, done that (except in Vancouver).

  7. Andrew on November 17th, 2009 7:46 am

burn! Hey, we promise not to run you over in the prairies…

It’s funny ’cause it’s true. When I visited Montreal, I distinctly recall hearing a car crash every 30 seconds or so and witnessed two in once day. In neither case did anyone seem like it was anything out of the ordinary.

New Brunswick drivers are the worst I’ve seen personally… You’d be run over by someone going the wrong way on a highway. Extremely polite about it, though!

  10. McFranky on November 17th, 2009 9:37 am

gotta love the last chicken, it’s expression xD. You made my day Doug ;)

  11. Seraphine on November 17th, 2009 10:28 am

    the conclusion: run, don’t walk.

  12. Keith on November 17th, 2009 12:24 pm

So that’s why the chicken crossed the road… (sorry, I couldn’t resist)

  13. Jennifer on November 17th, 2009 1:05 pm

You probably were walking on a payday.

  14. Luwano on November 17th, 2009 1:54 pm

I’d rather be the driver then….

    &=^

  15. Ada on November 17th, 2009 3:30 pm

I love the smoking chicken in that last panel!

  16. PaulC on November 17th, 2009 5:00 pm

As a current Vancouverite and former Montrealer, I laughed out loud!

  17. Tay on November 17th, 2009 6:20 pm

heh, Vancouverite here, its all truufaxx

  18. lenagirl on November 17th, 2009 9:25 pm

And their “Walk, Do Not Walk” signs are hilarious! They look like balance impaired cloggers.

  19. Trog on November 17th, 2009 9:35 pm

This is what happens when Vancouverites drive on the ganga highway.

  20. HeidiRenee on November 18th, 2009 3:06 am

ha! that is brilliant! you need to come visit the maritimes where you can get run over by tourists because every local stops their car dead to let EVERY pedestrian jaywalk - which of course is unknown to the tourists, and so local pedestrians assume local drivers - thus the running over begins :D

  21. Peter on November 18th, 2009 5:36 am

The canadians are of course a head of time. They are obviously preparing for the next Death Race tournament…

  22. Greg on November 19th, 2009 6:38 am

Why did the chicken drive across the road?

To hit the pedestrian on the other side!

  23. diego on December 7th, 2009 12:42 am

    fantastic

  24. Abby on January 17th, 2010 1:35 pm

Holy crap, LOL. I live in Montreal and can vouch for the authenticity of this, having once been passed on the right by someone driving on the sidewalk IN A SCHOOL ZONE. Fortunately no chickadees were hit. Visitors to Quebec, be afraid…be very afraid.
