I'd love to vote for the Chickens, but the frickin Flash-based voting form won't work in my browser (Firefox on Linux). All I see are the buttons, and no text, so I have no idea who I'd be voting for.

Sorry, Doug!

I thought at first it was another grammar joke. "Whom"! not, "Who"!
Of course, this doesn't preclude the possibility that a grammar teacher was the one wielding the knife...

Congrats on the nomination, Doug!

Kind of a delayed reaction on this one.

Doug...
Any person that can tribute my students, pirates, ninjas, AND the Grinch with such impeccable silliness every day deserves much more than this award! To make sure you get it, you've got my votes on any fresh computer I encounter!

You are brilliant, Doug! Unfortunately, the system won't let me vote, but I'll keep trying.

Max definitely had motive and opportunity

(wasn't it the Grinch who tied the stick to his head? That kind of humiliation can only be vanquished by revenge)

And then there's the little issue of making Max pull the 2 ton sleigh up a steep snowy incline

His mouth may be sad-shaped, but he can't hide the twinkle in his eye. Definitely Max.

------
(you can count on me for a daily chicken vote... SC is clearly the best choice)

Hey thanks for all the great comments everybody - i really appreciate it. And thanks for all the votes!

Looks like the awards site is getting a bit overwhelmed by voters, so you might need to try again later.

I think the only reason Max looks sad is that after one bite he realized he doesn't like the taste of Grinch meat, and now he's wondering who will feed him

Yes, indeed, let's do this. I printed out a full page of the cartoony chickens (nothing but black-and-white chickens,) and will cut the sheet into jigsaw-shaped pieces. These will be delivered to the other old ladies on the fourth floor of this old folks' home and drive them crazy...Good idea, eh?

signed....one of the above

For the record, that's the same knife that was used to carve the roast beast!
