Savage Chickens Book Deal!

Hey everybody - I’ve got some great news! I’ve got a book deal with Perigee Books, a division of Penguin Group USA! I’m really excited to be working with editor Maria Gagliano and the whole Perigee team.
Thanks to all of you readers for being so supportive over the years - it’s great to finally be putting together a book for you. And a big thank-you goes out to my agent Danielle for getting the chickens out there.
The book will be a combination of web site favourites and all-new cartoons, including fun activity stuff to help you liven up your cubicle. I’ll keep you posted on upcoming book news, including the release date!
Tweeterview
Hey I did a live ‘tweeterview’ on Twitter tonight, where I was interviewed by Scott Hampson of Agent-X Comics.
You can read the entire interview here on Tweeterview.

Music video in the works
I’m excited to announce that I’ve started work on a new music video for Laura Veirs! Laura has asked me to create a video for the title track of her upcoming album July Flame. It’s a great tune - but don’t take my word for it - go download a free preview copy for yourself (registration required) on Laura’s site!
The video will be stop-motion animation (like Phantom Mountain) but it will be visually very different from anything I’ve done before. I’m still at the storyboarding phase, so it’ll be a while before the video is ready, but I’ll keep you posted!
Book project in the works
Hey everybody - I’ve got some good news! I’ve signed with Danielle Svetcov of the Levine Greenberg Literary Agency and we’re working out the details for a Savage Chickens book project. It looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun and I’m really excited about working with Danielle to get the chickens into print. I’ll keep you posted with details as soon as I can!
In the mean time, if you’ve got ideas about what you’d like to see in a Savage Chickens book, let me know! You can leave a comment here or send me an email.
