    Translation is as follows:

“OK, we need the business-to-business year-to-date return on investment as soon as possible.”

“Knock out the Bachelor of Science or you’re short on luck.”

…well, why else would he be toting a big stick?

  2. vornn says:

    Too many acronyms.

    What does IMHO mean??

  5. Jim Pemberton says:

    Ahh, “TM-speak”: the new oxymoron.

  6. melman says:

  9. Lakenvelder says:

Reminds me that sad but true we recieved an at our office with an acronym that no one knew its meaning. Maybe, part of their new techspeak language.

Well, maybe PDQ we would be all better off to KISS.

  10. M-L says:

HOW TIMELY! I kid you not, just last night I got an email that started (and unfortunately continued) JUST LIKE THIS:

“Hey M-L!!!(notice i remembered the dash this time!!!LOL)!!..how are you pretty lady??.. doing well i hope!!!!!…I hope you had a really really fun week so far(its almost Friday!!!!LOL)!!!….”

  11. Robert Johnson says:

anon, IMHO stands for “in my humble opinion”. I thought SOL stood for “sh*t out-a luck”, and BS was “bull sh*t”.

PS: I want the “reckless bus driver” cartoon on tee shirts.

  12. I live in a cave... says:

I know this is remedial, but what does LOL stand for?

  13. Anonymous says:

    LOL – Laughing Out Loud.

Try using it in your everyday speach, instead of, you know, actaully laughing out loud.

  14. Anonymous says:

activity: send emails with meaningless acronyms to people who think their level of awareness transcends yours

  15. Jesse Ray says:

Melman: YTD= year to date. BtoB means Business to Business. ROI =return on investment. ASAP = as soon as possible.
    Business speak vs. IM speak.

I wont’t comment on this until I get a written transcript of this program. Who do I mail a request to?
    Please RSVP ASAP!

  17. Snowdrops says:

This is so gr8! However the “B-to-B” could be shortened further to just B2B (as per late 90’s/early 00’s dotcom speak).

I wonder if someone could tell me what the title of the cartoon “TGIF” means?? For some reason my brain keeps translating it as “WGAF” (as in “Who gives a f*7k?”)…

  18. highnez says:

TGIF is “Thank Goodness It’s Friday” (or thank god it’s friday).

Loved the cartoon! Or should that be LtC?
