LOL!
As soon as I read the title, I knew it was the kid chicken wanting just one more story! XD
I LOVE these chickens! Keep them coming! 😀
…it was the time of boring introductions, it was the time of funny cartoons…
&=^
Henry James is also effective
I read the fine print on my insurance policy to get to sleep….
I feel that this could have been better with the Great Gatsby’s opening lines: “In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since.
‘Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.'”
Although it isn’t that long, that line could put me to sleep.
Where is this from?
Oh my god, I’ve been the little chicken. My dad asked me to read that book but I fell asleep on the second page and have never been able to read it since.
A tale of two cities…
I’ll have to remember that one…might work on my kiddos 🙂
I once managed to get through a Tale of Two Cities without falling asleep.
Dickens ALWAYS makes me sleepy too.
HAAAA…..HAAAA….HAAA….cute.
Dickens Chickens, beats drugs anytime you need the sleep.
All happy flocks are alike; each unhappy flock is unhappy in its own way.
from Anna Kentuckian
I read a tale of two cities- I think I started sleepreading by the ‘epoch of belief’. How come the older chicken didn’t zonk out by now? This is one of my favorites. Great!
