   Trees actually use up (breathe) oxygen as well as produce it. Fortunately, they produce more oxygen than they use up…

    The thing that makes it work is, shouldn’t astronauts *know* that the 02 production is slow? Don’t they all have degrees in math and science? or are they just wingnuts like the rest of us?
