what about my python cartoon? ๐ take your time ๐
i don’t get it, what 3 and 20 has to do with pi?
oh no it’s got nothing to do with pi – I couldn’t think of a pi joke so i went with a pie joke instead (based on this verse)
now that i know the song, its a good joke ๐
He used three and fourteen. Obviously.
Oh I do enjoy a good chickens nursery rhyme!
Dear Mr. Savage,
Thank you so much!!! Your humor always makes me smile!
Thank you for the Pi Cartoon and the dedication!
Kindest Regards,
Mary Jo
One beak short! Nothing ruins a pie like not enough beaks.
Being a cannibal huh?!
tau > pi! Teach the controversy!
The rhyme goes “Four and twenty black birds baked in a pie” The chef missed one. that’s the joke. At least I thought it was.
Hey that’s what I thought it was too! ๐
Twenty-four blackbirds seemed weirdly specific to me, like, who’s going to know if you changed the recipe a little? It’d be a lot easier to catch a dozen or so blackbirds and then flush it out with a crow or two as filler. Am I right?
Here’s a website for the missing worm in the pi

it had brains enough to get out of the way, unlike the bird-brained
You were at my creative writing class yesterday, but I was unfortunately stuck at home with a brutal migraine. I talked to a classmate later and she said it was quite a fun class. I wish I hadn’t missed it :S
That said, I’ve been going through your archives and I’m really enjoying the chickens. The observations and references are so clever, and the art style is awesome. I’m glad you update so frequently, because I can tell that I’ll be sticking with this comic ๐
Happy Pi Day ๐
Ooh sorry to hear about the migraine! I know the feeling!
I had a great time chatting with your class yesterday. If you have any questions about the stuff I talked about, feel free to send them along via my contact form. ๐
That’s still a lot of blackbird to cram into a pie, I’d cut him a brake on this one.
