Worm Rescue
This week, I’m celebrating my mom’s life with comics about our time together. I hope you like them.
I’m here in Ontario visiting with my family, so I’ll be doing my on-the-road style comics this week, drawn and photographed.

I love this. Very recognizable.
This is everything. Thanks for sharing your mom’s story through these comics.
This is very sweet Doug. I’m sorry for your family’s great loss. It’s heartwarming to see you celebrating your mom’s life in such a creative, courageous way.
I recall walking home from first grade on a rainy day and jumping in puddles. A woman driving a VW Bug got angry at me for doing this – I don’t know why to this day – which was very upsetting to me. My mom was there for me when I got home and made me feel safe and loved. Moms are the best, Doug. Thanks for sharing.
The lady in the Bug clearly doesn’t know the joy of puddle jumping. Even now as a 55-year-old man, I will have a sneaky puddle jump when I think no one is looking 🙂
Never loose the joy of the simple things
What a beautiful memory! Thanks for sharing it.
Your Mom sounds like a wonderful lady.
This is a beautiful, sweet memory, Doug. *hugs*
This is the sweetest little strip.
May her memory be a blessing.
I love this one! To me it speaks to how Moms save us so many times, many we forget as they are everyday ’emergencies’. I am sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing her with us this week.
Such a beautiful strip.
It’s all the little tiny things that mums do for us that make us the people we are.
omigosh so relatable. Thank you for sharing your mom stories and wishing you all the hearts for being home and celebrating her life. <3
Moms always show up at the right moments.
This is so beautiful, Doug! Thanks for sharing it.
