One of my chickens makes a guest appearance on Woody After Hours today. Go check it out! And you can catch up on three years’ worth of their comics while you’re at it. Woody After Hours is written by Ben Carter and illustrated by Paul Westover. Thanks to them both for inviting me to stop by their comic for a cameo!
Exciting news, especially for German readers! A German-language edition of Savage Chickens: A Survival Kit for Life in the Coop is being published in March 2012 by publisher Kunstmann. Here’s a sneak peek at the cover! I just finished the artwork for a few replacement cartoons (some of my pop-culture references didn’t quite translate into German). I’ve seen some of the translated cartoons and they look awesome!
Of course, the English version is already available now, so keep it in mind for your upcoming Christmas lists, especially for those office gift exchanges!
Here’s the book over on Kunstmann’s site and now you can take a peek inside!
Update: And now it’s on Amazon.de!
I was recently interviewed by Brian King over at inkOUTBREAK. Go check it out, and while you’re there you can discover all kinds of great comics! Read the interview.
Happy Halloween! I received over 1200 entries to this year’s Halloween contest, and they were an impressive collection of crazy ideas. Some of the common themes: Occupy Wall Street, parking, iPhones, concerts, The Walking Dead, and windshield-cleaning. As you can imagine, it was pretty difficult to choose the winners!
And the winners are…
The Grand Prize (a zombified edition of my book, a mug, and a set of buttons):
“Do your worst. It’s a rental.” – by Chuck
The Runner-up Prizes (a signed copy of my book):
“Hey, can you direct us to the Mensa Conference…?” – by Elissa
“So I take a right at “brains” and then a left at “brains” and I should be there?” – by Joe
Congratulations to the winners! I’ll be in touch to get your address information. And thanks to everybody who participated! This was the best contest yet – lots of amazing creativity out there!
