Click to read more about the book!First, I want to say thank you to everybody for all of the great comments and emails that you sent me about my seventh anniversary. I really appreciate it! And it was great to see which of your favourite cartoons didn’t make the top ten lists. Some of the ones you mentioned most often were: Catnip Mouse: Defense Attorney, Adorable Hedgehog (and its sequel), A Challenge, Conclusive, Narcissistron, Thank You, Better Watch Out, and Ice Cream Man.

Okay, now here are the randomly-selected contest winners! Each winner gets a signed copy of my book including a sketch of their favourite Savage Chickens character. The three winners are:

– Sam Bergus
– Darryl MacLeod
– Yavanna

Congrats to the winners – please send me your mailing address via my contact form and I’ll be in touch!

Win a book!Seven years ago today, I started Savage Chickens! To help celebrate, and to thank you for your support, I’m giving away three signed copies of Savage Chickens: A Survival Kit for Life in the Coop. And I’ll include a drawing of your favourite Savage Chickens character.

There are two ways to win:
1. Add a comment to this post or to this post telling me which cartoon was your favourite one from the past year, or
2. Retweet my 7th anniversary cartoon on Twitter, or share it on GooglePlus.

I’ll choose three random winners on Friday night!

SDCC 2012San Diego Comic-Con International has announced their first 30 special guests for 2012 and I’m one of them! Woohoo! It’s a great honour to be invited and I’m incredibly excited about it – and I hope to meet a bunch of you there! The comic-con runs from July 12 to 15, and I’ll be doing a spotlight session and an autograph signing and probably some other stuff too — I’ll be sure to let you know more details as we get closer to the comic-con. But for now, go check out the guest list!

Attention readers in British Columbia! On Saturday, January 28, from 1 PM to 3 PM, I’ll be a guest speaker at Gibsons District Public Library. I’m doing another “Create the Work You Want” session, talking about how I became a cartoonist. And I’ll be talking generally about creativity, career changes, and discovering your own dream jobs. Here are more details: Gibsons District Public Library.

Update: Here’s a photo!
