Here’s more FAQ.
Q: What hand do you draw with?
A: I’m left-handed. Just like Lou Rawls and Queen Victoria.
Q: Are your chickens free range?
A: Only on evenings and weekends. Otherwise they’re at the office doing PROD3000’s bidding.
Q: How many times does Shakespeare mention chickens?
A: Six. Here they are. My favourite is from Henry VI: “So the poor chicken should be sure of death.”
Q: If you were a chicken, which breed would you be? (Asked by Johannes, Omlet)
A: I’d be a Silver Grey Dorking. Or a Buff Orpington.
Q: Do you own any chickens – live or rubber?
A: No live chickens. I used to have 2 rubber chickens, but now I have only a few stuffed animal chickens and a hand puppet chicken.
Q: Do you think Christopher Walken should be in every movie?
A: Oh my yes.
Q: Do you like to dance?
A: No. But I like to sing. Poorly. I play a bit of guitar and I’m learning how to play the ukulele.
Q: Which fictional detective would you like to solve your murder?
A: Columbo.

Q: Why chickens?
A: After years of office work, chickens were the last remaining thing that I knew how to draw.
Q: Will you ever name the chickens?
A: I don’t think so.
Q: Are the chickens male or female?
A: Neither? Both? You decide.
Q: What did you read when you were a kid?
A: Lots of stuff over the years. Dr. Seuss and Richard Scarry as a little kid, and then later on Douglas Adams, and Stephen King.
Q: What artists inspired you when you were a kid?
A: Charles Schulz, Jim Henson, Martin Waddell, Berke Breathed, Terry Gilliam.
Q: Who was the first cartoon character you ever drew?
A: The earliest one I remember is Dead Dog Bob. You can see him in the Phantom Mountain video.
Q: What inspires you?
A: Lots of people ask where I get my ideas from, and it’s really hard to say. Everything in this world is inspiring one way or another. I think it’s all about being an observer. I try to pay attention and look for the humour that’s inevitably lurking behind every situation.
Q: What are you wearing?
A: Plaid.
Q: Is there an SC book?
A: Not yet! Thanks to all the people that have been asking about a book. I’ll get something together one of these days so thanks for waiting patiently. Update: The book is out!
Q: What do you draw on?
A: Real sticky notes. Then I scan them.
Q: What pens do you use?
A: Staedtler pigment liners.
Q: How fast do you go through paper?
A: I go through a stack of sticky notes in about three weeks.
