Ha! The Cat wonders why the song is not about him and furthermore…why should he care?
Life can be glum, like cat hair in your gum.
I couldn’t come to think about more despair than a Gum in your hair !!, ha ha, that shocked Cat didn’t see that coming !
That is a ghost cat, isn’t it!?!
here i sit and mope:
despair being an endless loop,
wishing without hope i could
hide it like cats bury poop.
That cat scares me…
Life sometimes sucks…
But I know a chicken that clucks.
Oh, wait, it doesn’t cluck, but I saw it talk.
But I have never seen the chicken walk…
Maybe the chicken only wants to run?
I just realized I have no life and have to get outside in the sun.
Alas,
Oh gentle furry creature.
This ooze upon my brow,
Leads me to sing of justice,
Of which there is none.
And of my own despair?
Truly, it is gum.
I’m sure this is how Morrissey got started.
I saw this and thought Aristocats!

Great tip; gum in the hair can be poetic. (Just pubbed a poem about that in Highlights for Children, July 2009).
But I don’t have a cat…I think that part’s dispensable.
