After he got over the surprise of seeing the gifts at his feet, and the strange glass balls and tinsel all over his body, he felt a twinge of pain and – gasp! – realized that one of his kidneys had been taken!

i thought trees apparently got each other’s backs. apparently not. by the way, apropos of nothing, we put a skirt around our christmas tree.
